This traditional game hailing from ancient India made its way to the UK in 1892 and was first commercially released in the USA by Milton Bradley in 1943 as Chutes and Ladders. Players move along the squares. Ladders, symbolizing good deeds, help players get closer to nirvana, while snakes represent slides into evil.

To play Chutes and Ladders, each player takes turns rolling the dice and moving their piece along the squares. When you land on the bottom of a ladder, climb up! It means you've done a good deed. But if you land on the head of a snake, slide down - that's a sign of falling into evil. Keep playing until one player reaches the last square and wins. When not in use, store the game in a cool, dry place to keep the pieces in good condition. Avoid getting the board wet or dirty. And remember, have fun while playing this classic game!
