In this exciting Dixit board game, one player takes on the role of the storyteller each turn. The storyteller looks at the images on the 6 cards in their hand, makes up a sentence based on one of those cards, and says it aloud without showing the card. Other players then select the card in their hands that best matches the sentence and give it to the storyteller secretly. The storyteller shuffles their card with the received ones, shows all pictures face - up, and every player bets on which picture was the storyteller's. If nobody or everybody finds the correct card, the storyteller scores 0 and other players score 2. Otherwise, the storyteller and those who found the correct answer score 3. Players also get 1 point for every vote for their own card. The game ends when the deck is empty or a player scores 30 points, and the player with the most points wins. Both the base game and all expansions come with 84 cards each.
To play Dixit, first, pick one player as the storyteller. The storyteller should look at their 6 cards, come up with a sentence related to one of them, and share it without showing the card. Other players need to quickly choose the card in their hands that they think matches the sentence and give it to the storyteller without showing it to others. The storyteller then shuffles all the cards and shows them. Everyone has to guess which one was the storyteller's. Remember, if all or none of the players guess right, the storyteller gets no points. Try to come up with tricky sentences to keep the game exciting. When storing the game, keep the cards in a dry place to prevent them from getting damaged.
