The One Key

The city of York is under construction. Many buildings are up, but without a protective outer wall against Viking raids, it's doomed. The king has gathered top architects to design defensive walls, and only one design will be chosen. That architect will be the greatest in the land. In Walls of York, players use plastic wall pieces to build a defensive barrier around buildings on their city map. Each turn, roll the Building die to decide wall types. Enclose the city with required buildings from the King's Decree. Watch out, as Vikings will attack at the end of the first Age, forcing a rebuild in the second. The player with the most coins at the end of the second Age wins.

To play this game, start by setting up the city map and getting the plastic wall pieces ready. Each turn, roll the Building die to figure out what kind of walls you need to use. Your goal is to enclose the city with the buildings specified in the King's Decree. Remember, the Vikings will come at the end of the first Age and destroy your work, so be prepared to build again in the second Age. At the end of the second Age, the one with the most coins wins. When you're done playing, keep the wall pieces in a safe place to avoid losing them. Also, don't let the die get scratched or damaged, as it's important for the game.
